School Trips and Extra Curricular Activities

Every year, we plan an exciting set of trips and visits to support the learning in each of our classes from reception to year 6. Each class will participate in an enriching experience supporting studies in History, Geography, Science and the Arts.

We plan carefully to ensure that trips are high quality and as affordable as possible. We aim to keep costs around £40 per child (excluding Year 6 residential.)

We seek grant funding to subsidise our trips, but we do also need to ask for parental voluntary contributions towards additional costs.  Parents have the option of paying by installments, paying what they can or overpaying, to support the costs of other families.

Trips might include:

Christmas Theatre trip to Pegasus Theatre, or to the Oxford Playhouse.

The Story Museum, for workshops on storytelling.

Science Oxford for hands-on workshops, or a visit from their scientists to experience experiments and shows in school.

Oxford Castle, Woodstock Museum (Toys workshop), Ashmolean, Pitt Rivers, Blenheim Palace, Hill End or Bletchley Park, in order to bring your History study to life!

A working farm, orienteering in a local park, a trip along the river, a visit from exotic rainforest bugs and animals, to support your learning in Geography.
